On Tuesday evening, Jayme Otomewo talked with San Jose State’s defensive back coach, Charles Clark.
Clark called to offer the Los Angles (Calif.) Dorsey safety, Otomewo’s second offer. He received his first offer from Colorado last week.
“It was surprising, since it was my first time ever talking to Coach Clark, but it’s my second offer, which is exciting.”
The Dons’ defensive back discussed what he likes the best about the Spartans’ program.
“It’s a great school,” said Otomewo. “My former teammate, Joseph Gray, plays there and he has told me great things about their program. San Jose State is definitely one of the schools I am going to visit.”
Other than San Jose State and Colorado, the 6’2, and 185-pound safety discussed the other programs that have been recruiting him.
“This weekend, on March 10th I am going to Arizona to attend Arizona State’s Junior Day,” said Otomewo. “That will be a fun trip, I am looking forward to it.
“I have also been talking to Oregon a lot lately. They have been showing very high interest in me.”
Otomewo has been in communication with the Ducks’ defensive backs coach, John Neal.
“Coach Neal told me I would fit in well with their program,” explained Otomewo. “He said they are going to come out to visit me this month, and that the Ducks don’t offer recruits until meeting them in person, so this could be an exciting visit.”
