"It's going to be pretty low key, no games or anything," Armond Hawkins, Chris' father said. "He's going to run his race and then the announcer, who used to coach Chris, will introduce him. At that time, Chris will put on the hat and shirt of the school he's going to.
"Chris will still do two or three trips but we already got the OK from the school he's going with. He's ready to get this done and feels like it will alleviate some of the pressure on him. He can focus on the rest of the track season and then go in to his summer and next fall already having his decision behind him."
Hawkins has been very active this fall taking in Junior Days at USC, Cal and UCLA plus an unofficial visit to Stanford. The visit to the Farm really stood out for Hawkins and it would be a mild surprise if the Cardinal don't win out here.
