Darell Garretson: "I was 108-180 with 2,051 passing yards, 19 TDs, 60% completion percentage and 6 INTs. I was 2nd Team all section, and All-State Honorable Mention."
What is your official height and weight?
"I'm 6-0 ft. 195 lbs."
What is your greatest football memory?
"The best football memory I have would be throwing the TD pass and 2 point conversion in our Double OT win against Westview in the 1st round of the playoffs. Just seeing everyone rush onto the field and having Coach Aguano put the ball in my hands was awesome. It can't get any better than that."
What are your goals for the upcoming season?
"My goals for this season are to be more of a threat out of the pocket and also as someone you have to always watch to run the ball."
How are you preparing for the upcoming season? Will you attend any camps this summer?
"I'm hitting the weightroom and track very hard right now. I plan on attending about 4-5 camps over this summer to get my name out there."
What aspect of your game have you really worked hard to improve? What area would you like to keep improving on?
"I've worked very hard on my accuracy and power when I throw the ball. The one thing I would like to improve on is my running abilities."
Who are some of your teammates that people need to watch out for?
"People need to watch out for Patrick Baldenegro, Tyler Shank, Myles Smith, and J.R. Hunt. Those kids can definitely play."
Name one teammate you really respect and why?
"I really respect Francis Tuita. He's a guy that works his butt off in the weight room and is always getting extra work in on the field with the WRs and RBs, even though he's a LB."
What are your goals regarding playing football in college?
"My goals are to play at the highest level of football and compete with the best players and try to win a starting role."
Who is currently recruiting you? Do you have any offers yet?
"I am currently receiving a lot of interest from Duke and have been in contact with Cal. I don't have any offers yet."
Would you consider staying in state to play in college?
"I would consider staying in state to play football. ASU's coaches seem like guys you could play for so I'd definitely consider it."
What would your top 5 college choices be?
"My top 5 choices would be Duke, Cal, Oregon State, Boise State, and Colorado."
Who is the best player you ever played against? Why?
"Jaxon Hood is probably the best guy i've played against. The guy can just flat out play. Sometimes I try to figure out how he sacked me as quick as he did."
Name one opponent who you really respect and why?
"I really respect Hamilton. They play physical, smart, and very disciplined. It's hard to beat a team like that."
How do you think your coach would describe you as a player?
"I think Coach Aguano would describe me as a very smart, unselfish player. A guy that can take control of the offense and be the leader of it."
What are your strengths and weaknesses as a player?
"My strengths as a player would be being a leader, and making the right decisions. My weakness is that I think I have would be the running side."
Who is your favorite athlete and why?
"My favorite athlete would be Drew Brees. He was as big as I am in high school and he never let people tell him his size was a factor. He just goes out and does his thing on the field and lets his play do all the talking."
What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?
"The best piece of advice would probably be from my Dad. He always says, 'Just do what you always do. and everything else will fall into place."

"You can expect a very disciplined football team. We're going to play smart, physical, and most importantly, fast."
What can a college program expect from you as a player?
"A program can expect me to play smart and with precision."
What is your GPA and SAT/ACT score?
"My GPA right now is a 3.5 and I will take the ACT in March."
What will the main factors be when you choose a school?
"The main factors in my decision will be how well I get along with my position coach and offensive coordinator as well as the head coach. The final factor would be if could I live there for 4-5 years and be happy with where I am at."
