'T.View Crew' Hittin' West Coast

Brandon Simmons, DB

Mansfield (TX) Timberview boasts several 2014 standouts. Brandon Simmons, Edward Paris, Benny Ephriam, and Brandon Garner are four of them. They'll be visiting several schools this spring, beginning with two Pac-12 next weekend.

"Wanted to let you know we are visiting UCLA and USC next weekend," reported defensive back Brandon Simmons. "It'll be me, Edward, Brandon Garner, and Benny."

They agree Coach Adrian Klemm (one of the most effective recruiters in the country, formerly with SMU, now with UCLA) has "been on them hard," and that it didn't take much for him to talk them into coming out.

It also helps that the four will already be out that way competing in the Badger Sport 7v7 Tournament in Vegas.

"I'm just really looking forward to seeing UCLA's campus. I heard it is a nice place to live and heard it is one of the best college campuses," said Simmons, quickly adding, "And maybe an offer from USC, hopefully."

Both Simmons and fellow defensive back Edward Paris already hold offers from the Bruins, but look to add Trojans to the mix.

On Paris' offer plate also sits LSU, SMU, Clemson and Washington State; while Simmons' carries SMU and Temple.

Benny Ephriam, the Wolves' 6-foot, 166-pound wideout, is still awaiting that first offer, but is confident it lies close as he is getting plenty of early love from UCLA, Texas, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, and Auburn.

Linebacker Brandon Garner is in the same boat.

"I'm still waiting for my first," he said, "but I've been hearing a lot from Arizona State, TCU, and Auburn."

Garner has made visits to all three schools, plus Alabama and Arizona.

He says, at this point, ASU stands above all.

"I love the environment there," Garner smiled. "It's awesome. And Coach Graham is great. He seems like a great coach."

Still, he notes he is keeping all options open and is looking forward to next weekend's travel to California.
