First offer for Canady
Knox Central athlete Jeffrey Canady promises to be one of the state's most productive players a senior. Canady recently earned his first scholarship offer. Jeffrey Canady was a do-it-all player last year for Knox Central. The 6-foot-1, 208-pound athlete rushed for 1054 yards and 15 touchdowns. He had 871 yards and 41 receptions with six touchdowns. He also had 67 tackles, five picks and two fumble recoveries. Now he can add one scholarship offer. "Jeffrey picked up his first offer today," said Jeff Canady Sr. "He got an offer from Wofford University in South Carolina," he continued. While picking up that first offer is important, you can expect more offers to come along as Canady is talking a lot with Kentucky, Western Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky and Cincinnati. All the schools like him in different ways. "The bigger D-1 schools are looking at him as a safety or outside linebacker type," the elder Canady said in January. "I think they used him in so many different roles. I like how they used him and how they utilized his abilities. It helped out a lot. They got to show a lot of his talents that way," he finished.
