Top Arms to Texas

This year Cowboys Stadium will play host to Regional Elite 11 stop in Texas and there are number of top-rated national arms heading to the Lone Star State to compete on the big stage. FOXSportsNext takes a look at some of the camp competitors who are already generating a lot of buzz on the recruiting trail and stacking up offers.

Tyrone Swoopes – Whitewright (Texas)
Athletic quarterback who will get to show that he has the arm of a national level prospect. The five-star has already committed to Texas.

J.T. Barrett – Wichita Falls Rider (Texas)
Smart and savvy quarterback who is smart with the football and dangerous out of the pocket. Schools like Ohio State, Baylor, LSU, Nebraska and Texas Tech have all offered.

Damion Hobbs – Cedar Hill (Texas)
An athlete who plays for a true Texas power. He could play a number of positions in college. Arkansas State, Iowa State and Oregon State have offered.

Christopher Laviano – Holy Trinity (N.Y.)
He was very consistent on the national stage at the Under Armour camp in Orlando. He has an offer from Rutgers.

Shane Morris – De La Salle (Mich.)
Rated as one of the top arms in the country. He has plenty of pop and can also run. The five-star talent has already committed to Michigan.

Anu Solomon – Bishop Gorman (Nev.)
The left-handed hurler is a dual-threat but also has a very good arm. Lacks prototype height. Arizona, Colorado and UNLV have all offered.

Kohl Stewart – St. Pius X (Texas)
Also an excellent baseball prospect. He has a quick release and can get the ball down the field. Has made a commitment to Texas A&M. Florida has also offered.

Austin Allen – Fayetteville (Ark.)
The top arm from the Natural State. Very consistent and knows what to do with the football. Arkansas, Stanford, North Carolina, Ole Miss. Tulsa and South Florida have offered.

Cooper Bateman – Cottonwood (Utah)
Throws a great deep ball with timing and accuracy and also does a nice job getting outside the pocket. At least 15 offers and counting.

Kenny Hill – Southlake Carroll (Texas)
Led his team to a 5A State Title. Has the arm and the smarts. He can also run very effectively. Holding schollies from Texas A&M, Missouri, Baylor, Texas Tech and others.

Chris Johnson – Bryan (Texas)
Johnson has already committed to Baylor. Lots of athletes in the bunch, but he may be the best all-around athlete of the bunch. He is big, thick and explosive.
