Four-star WR has Several Offers

Mike Williams of Lake Marion High (Holly Hill, S.C) is of the top wide receivers in the country. The Scout 300 member talks about recruiting, his game, and more.

"I have offers from South Carolina, Clemson, Georgia, Tennessee, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, and Alabama," said Mike Williams (6'4/200). "Florida, North Carolina, and Vanderbilt are also sending me a lot of mail. South Carolina and Clemson are recruiting me the hardest; I do not have a leader."

Williams has already visited a couple of schools.

"I went to South Carolina and Clemson's junior days, and I am supposed to go back to South Carolina on (March) 31," he said.

The four-star prospect will attend some camps this summer.

'I will probably go to camps at some of schools that have not offered me," he said. "I am going to go to Florida and a few others."

Williams already has a tentative timeline for a decision.

"I will probably narrow my list of schools down over the summer and probably make my decision before signing day," Williams said.

What will factor into his decision?

"I want to go to a school with a good offense that throws the ball a lot," he said.

The Lake Marion star knows his strengths, but also knows where he needs to improve.

"I run hard every play hard, run good routes, and get open. My strength is catching the deep ball," said Williams. "I need to work on getting out of my routes and making sharper cuts. I also need to work on getting off jams at the line."

Williams is Scout's No. 17 wide receiver. He bench presses 230 pounds, squats 315, and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds.
