South Florida Express dominated the tournament, going undefeated on both days. Quarterback Akeem Jones of Miami Carol City HS lead Express to victory and was named MVP of the event. Wide receiver Dionte Taylor of University School (Ft. Lauderdale, FL) was also a dynamic play maker for the Express team. Defensively, corner back Rashard Robinson of Blanche Ely (Pompano Beach, FL) was also tremendous.
In a losing effort, Team Tampa was lead defensively by superstar corner back Vernon Hargreaves who was phenomenal in coverage and truly a player everyone wanted to avoid. Offensively, two receivers stood out: Travis Johnson of Jesuit High School (Tampa, FL) and 2014 prospect Artavious Scott of Eastlake (Tarpon Springs, FL).
Four teams qualified for the IMG Madden National Championship event in June: South Florida Express Elite, Team Tampa, Orlando Top Recruits, and Team 239.
