Tustin (Calif.) athlete Terence Martinez has goals in mind.
“I’m just trying to get myself out there,” he tells Scout.com. “I’m trying to get scholarships and just basically working hard and doing what I need to do so that I can get looked at.”
So what exactly is he trying to prove?
“I just want to show that I play hard, I’m always consistent and I’m an all around good player,” he explains.
Several West Coast schools seem to agree, as Martinez has been receiving interest from Colorado, San Diego State, UCLA, and Oregon State.
“I have a feeling that Colorado is going to offer,” he shares. “I’m hoping they do.”
Martinez is planning to take an unofficial visit to Boulder on April 14th. He’s also in the process of seeing up trips to Oregon and Oregon State.
The junior says there are a couple Pac-12 schools that are high on his list at this point in time.
“I went to UCLA and USC’s Junior Days, and UCLA stood out,” he reports. “They have their whole new staff and everything. It’s a whole new coaching staff, a new outlook, and a new flavor; I like that.
“And I grew up cheering for Oregon. I love the uniforms, I love the way they play, and I love the offense that they run.”
The 5-foot-9, 200-pound athlete reports a 3.0 GPA.
