Got more comfortable with every rep. He has a quick release and the ball just jumps out of his hand.
Running Back
Dontre Wilson – DeSoto (Texas)
Definitely the player at the position with the quickest foot speed. He runs like a receiver.
Altee Tenpenny – North Little Rock (Ark.)
Now that he is healthy he could lay claim to the number one overall spot in the Arkansas State rankings.
Wide Receiver
Ra'Shaad Samples – Dallas Skyline (Texas)
Went down with an ankle injury late, but was the quickest and most explosive player at the position.
Jacorey Warrick – Cy Falls (Texas)
Runs terrific, crisp routes, making him really hard to cover one-on-one. Explosive in an out of cuts.
Hakeem Deggs – Plaquemine Sr. (Texas)
After Samples went down he stepped up to grab the one-on-one spotlight. Can get open and high point the ball.
Corey Robinson – SA Christian (Texas)
Not as heralded as some of the other big receivers, but was super smooth and beat some of the camps best DBs.
Quincy Adeboyejo/Laquvionte Gonzalez – Cedar Hill (Texas)
Tie between the two stars from the Hill. Adeboyejo has size and great natural ability. Quiv is slick with elite top end speed.
Tight End
Christian Morgan – Prestonwood Christian Academy (Texas)
Morgan moves extremely well. He has quick feet for a bigger player. Could end up growing in to an offensive lineman.
Offensive Line
Brad North – Allen (Texas)
Had a coming out party. Strong and has a good punch. Could be a hot name this spring.
George Roberts – SA Madison (Texas)
Another player who is laying low on the radar. Has a great frame for playing tackle in college and can run well.
Maurice Porter – FB Marshall (Texas)
Versatile lineman. Has the size to play guard, but moves well enough to play tackle.
Jake Raulerson – Celina (Texas)
Did not participate in all of the drills, but when the competition started he looked as good as ever.
Sergio Phillips – Desoto (Texas)
Consistency was the name of his game and that was how he performed from the word go.
Defensive Line
Daeshon Hall – Lancaster (Texas)
Big, with long arms. He got off the ball really quickly, embarrassing offensive tackles at times.
Vincent Taylor – SA Madison (Texas)
Showed that he has the power and size to be a force on the interior on the major BCS level.
Christian Lacouture – A&M Consolidated (Texas)
A real technician. Has the moves of a defensive end, but could grow in to a tackle. He has all the moves.
Torrodney Prevot – Alief Taylor (Texas)
Took home Nike MVP honors for the spot. Is rangy and long and almost unblockable when using his speed rush.
Hardreck Walker – Spring Westfield (Texas)
Plays with great balance and stays low. He moves quickly for a tackle. He dominated interior linemen.
Scott Pagano – Moanalua (Hawaii)
Put together like a linebacker and could hold even more weight. Combo of skills made him hard to block in one-on-ones.
Linebacker
Mike Mitchell – Prestonwood Christian Academy (Texas)
Showed great lateral movement and the ability to cover space. Looks like a prototype MLB. Also named the Nike MVP.
Deon Hollins – FB Marshall (Texas)
Hollins is very athletic and can run step for step with some of the best running backs. Pass rushing skills set him apart.
Defensive Backs
Maurice Smith – FB Dulles (Texas)
Got plenty of reps fresh from a track meet. He held his own over and over again and matched up with the camps best.
Anthony Canady – Mesquite (Texas)
Deservedly won the Nike MVP honors at the position, as he was lock down all day long. Turn and run ability.
Will Barrows – Dallas Skyline (Texas)
Not the biggest prospect on the field, but is very physical and not afraid to take a chance to make a big play.
Ranthony Texada – Frisco Centennial (Texas)
Will remind people of DeVante Harris from last year's class. Undersized, but has superior skills at the position.
Tony Brown – Beaumont Ozen (Texas)
Impressive 2014 specimen. Highly aggressive off the line and coaches have to like his fight until the end for the ball.
