Detroit Crockett (Mich.) junior 5-foot-11, 180-pound running back/cornerback Desmond King recently visited Eastern Michigan.
“EMU was great.” King said. “The campus was great, I felt right at home. The students were really friendly, I was welcomed with open arms and treated like family. I also have some family in that area which is a bonus."
While on his visit at Eastern Michigan, King received an offer.
“I was very happy to receive the offer.” King replied. “I love the coaching staff, the environment and the team. I also love the fact that the coaching staff puts their academics first above everything else.”
King plays multiple positions and he says with EMU right now, his primary position is undecided at the moment.
“My primary position is up in the air right now with EMU.” King said. “Originally they were recruiting me as a running back but as of late they have expressed they rather use me at cornerback. I personally prefer to play cornerback.”
King also has offers from Central Michigan and Northern Illinois. He is looking forward to earning more offers and is unsure on when he will commit but says it’s all about the right time and the right school.
“I don’t have a set date on committing to a school right now.” King replied. “I hope to earn more offers but I honestly don’t plan to commit soon but whenever I feel the time is right and the school is right, then I will commit.
