Willis Feels CMU Belief

Holland (Mich.) junior WR Corey Willis says he felt a loyalty to Central Michigan and that's why he committed to the Chippewas.

Corey Willis was one of the most exciting players in the Lakeshore area last year, rushing for 2,334 yards and 33 touchdowns from his quarterback spot.

Willis committed to Central Michigan on Monday, citing, among other things, a loyalty to them that came from the Chippewas recruiting him early.

"Well they made me feel at home," Willis explained. "They were the first team to show interest in me and believe I'm going to be a great player at the position I want to play."

The last time a quarterback converted to wide receiver for CMU, it was current Pittsburgh Steeler standout Antonio Brown. While those are big shoes to expect Willis to fill, his skill set makes him a strong bet to be a future impact guy for the Chippewas.
