Beal Talks Chicago SPARQ Combine
Chaminade Prep (St. Louis, MO) lineman Bryon Beal participated in his first Nike SPARQ Combine in Chicago Saturday. "I finished above average in my position and overall, so I think I did great," Beal said. The 2013 prospect weighed in at 399 pounds and finished with a score of 66.81. The average for the class of 2013 was 51.09, and was 50.49 for offensive linemen. 938 athletes participated in the event. Hi strongest event was the Power Ball Toss, where he threw for 36.5 inches. Beal has received steady interest from schools like Mizzou, Iowa, Nebraska and Penn State. He hopes to hear from more schools like Oklahoma State, Florida, Kansas State and Texas, and said the SPARQ Combine was a great way to get his name out there. "Just getting out there and trying my hardest and doing as well as I did will definitely boost how many looks and offers I get," Beal said. Beal's initial visit to Missouri was pushed back, and he will be visiting attending the spring game on Saturday, April 14.
