"My visit to SDSU was really good," he tells Scout.com.
"We toured the facilities and talked to the strength and conditioning coaches and they gave us a list of workouts that they do."
Daniel, who says "academics, athletics, great environment, and great food" are the main things he's looking for at the next level, says the Aztecs passed his food test.
"The campus has a Chipotle on it, which is good for me," he says with a smile. "And it was the Thursday Food Festival, so it was neat to see all the different cultures and the food that they eat."
The 6-foot, 205-pound athlete also got the chance to sit down with Assistant Coach Kevin McGarry.
"I met the linebacker coach and he explained that they are looking for an outside linebacker that can drop back in coverage and also play up and stop the run as well," Daniel shares. "I feel like I would be a perfect fit for their program because I can do both.
"They said they will follow my upcoming season very closely."
Daniel's next trip will take place this upcoming weekend when the junior heads to Tempe for Arizona State's Spring Game.
