"Memphis offered him over the weekend," said J.J. Antoine, Sr., father of Jermaine Antoine. "He was talking with their coach about coming to visit. "LSU wants to offer and they're his leader. They want to see what he did on the ACT Saturday. Coach Frank (Wilson) said if he makes at least a 16, then he's going to get an offer." Texas A&M has offered Antoine as a corner. Which position is LSU talking about with the junior from coastal south-central Louisiana? "We're not really sure," said the elder Antoine. "Coach Frank says we'll just have to wait and see. Jermaine is being recruited by Coach Frank (running backs coach and recruiting coordinator) and also Corey Raymond (LSU defensive backs coach). "LSU wants him bad. Jermaine talked to Coach (John) Chevis (LSU defensive coordinator) a couple of months ago, and he's always talking with Coach Frank." Antoine says he and his son plan to travel the country this summer with stops planned at LSU, Alabama, Texas A&M, Oregon and Florida. "The head coach at Loreauville (Trent Delahoussaye) says eight more schools want to offer Jermaine," said the father. "He said they're all waiting to see what Jermaine does on the ACT. He made a 15 the first time." Antoine helped the Class 2A Tigers to a 9-3 finish in 2011. He wears a variety of hats for Loreauville and will be counted on more heavily on the offensive side of the football this fall with RB Nick Julien gone to the collegiate ranks.
