Parker Holds Two Offers
The St. Louis, Mo. area has been buzzing with offers and commitments since January. Christian Brothers College High School 2013 OLB prospect Jonathan Parker is one athlete who has received significant attention. The 5-foot-9, 170-pound Parker picked up early February offers from Northern Illinois and Tulsa, and has attended junior days for Missouri and Illinois. He also elected to go to NIU's spring game on an unofficial visit. CBCHS head coach Scott Pingel said he knows what college coaches see in Parker. "He's being recruited as a complete athlete," Pingel said. "He is fast, and any time he gets the ball, he makes things happen." In his freshman and sophomore years, Parker played RB and DB for the Cadets, but was moved to play OLB during the 2011 season. That ability to adapt is one of Parker's biggest strengths. "He is a good all-around athlete," Pingel said. "He's great to fill in anywhere because of his speed and quickness." The majority of strong interest in Parker has come from non-BCS schools, and Pingel said Parker is open to programs in all conferences. Parker has also received correspondence from Big Ten offensive powerhouse Wisconsin, which has expressed interest in a position change for him to wide receiver.
