Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian 2014 linebacker Clayton Hibbert (5-10, 205), will be one of the starting backers for the Lions this year as they move on to the Pac-5 division in CIF.
Hibbert, who could play inside or outside, said he’s interested in a couple of Pac-12 schools.
“Oregon and Arizona State are who I’ve heard from for now,” said Hibbert. “I don’t really have any specific schools I want to play at, I just want to play D-I.”
Hibbert said several schools have expressed interest in him to his coaches, and are eager to see how he develops in the coming season.
“Most schools want to see junior film, so I haven’t thought about recruiting too much,” said Hibbert.
Hibbert has played primarily inside, would like to stay there in high school, but knows outside could be where he ends up in college.
“I’ll stick with linebacker in college,” said Hibbert. “I’d like to get to 230 by the time I’m a senior. I have some tall family members so I hope I’ll be getting taller.”
Academically, Hibbert has a 3.4 GPA and will take the SAT starting as a junior.
