Linemen and skill guys showed up to compete Saturday and long list had strong performances. Scout takes a look at the 10 that impressed us the most here:
Shamire DeVine - OT - East Point, Ga.-Tri-Cities
Quick Hitter: DeVine clearly was the top performer on the offensive line. He was up at left tackle, he showed why, and he continued to show improvement. He could move up in the next Scout rankings. He was named MVP of the offensive line.
Joshua Dobbs - QB - Alpharetta, Ga.-Alpharetta
Quick Hitter: The ball sizzled out of his hand all afternoon on Saturday. With the zip, he threw with accuracy, and he was on his game. He has a handful offers now from the likes of Arizona State, Boston College, and Illinois, but he will add more soon.
Reuben Foster - MLB - Auburn, Ala.-Auburn
Quick Hitter: This five-star linebacker did what was expected, dominate. He weighed in at 246 pounds and still moved like the best linebacker in the country. He is ready to play college football right now and this Alabama commitment lived up to his billing Saturday.
B.J. Hammond - WR - Gadsden, Ala.-Gadsden City
Quick Hitter: The big (6-4/207) just kept getting open on Saturday. When Scout had their eyes on him, he was thrown the ball, and he made the play. He got off the line well, he found the opening, and he continued to stand out all afternoon.
Ryan Jenkins - WR - Marietta, Ga.-Lassiter
Quick Hitter: His speed showed Saturday and couldn't be covered at Buford. His stock has been on the rise since his performance at the MVP Camp on April 1, so look for Jenkins' ranking to improve in the near future. He is so quick out of his breaks, he is stronger than many think, and when the ball is within reach, forget about it.
David Johnson - DE - Lithonia, Ga.-Lithonia
Quick Hitter: Johnson is full of energy and he played with a lot of it throughout this event. He and DeVine went at and both had their moments. Will he be a rush end or a linebacker on the next level? That is the question right now, but he will be a contributor no matter where he plays. He is versatile, he adapts well, and he plays hard.
Alvin Kamara - RB - Norcross, Ga.-Norcross
Quick Hitter: It is not a great event to evaluate running backs, but Kamara stands out no matter where he goes. He continues to impress with his speed, he balance, and his ability to cut on a dime. He has gained weight and gotten stronger and he will push Tyren Jones for the top back in Georgia through Signing Day.
Brendan Langley - CB - Marietta, Ga.-Kell
Quick Hitter: Size is something you cannot teach and Langley has that for a corner. Some think he could end up at safety down the line, but he continues to show the ability to be considered a top corner by Scout. He is long, he can open his hips, and he has great ball skills. He covers a lot of ground quickly.
Max Staver - QB - Brentwood, Tn.-Brentwood Academy
Quick Hitter: Not many, if any raised their stock more at quarterback in Scout's eyes than Staver this weekend. He showed a strong arm, a short release, and confidence at NFTC and Elite 11. Louisville, Mississippi State, and a few others have offered, but more will soon.
Shaquille Wiggins - CB - Tyrone, Ga.-Sandy Creek
Quick Hitter: Not many make it look as easy as Wiggins. He is so light on his feet, he flips his hips with ease, and he looks like he toys with receivers at times on the football field. He still has to get stronger and continue to add weight, but not many can straight up cover like him.
Others Considered: Marcus Adams, Chuck Baker, D.J. Gillins, Demarre Kitt, Tray Matthews, and Bo Scarborough.
