Logan Motte is a playmaker

Logan Motte, wide receiver from Morris-Mortimer Jordan, Ala., had an impressive showing at the South Showcase Combine this past weekend in Oxford. He had a great junior season with a lot more attention expected to come his way. Andrew Bone caught up with the talented prospect.

"I am receiving interest from Troy," said Logan Motte. "They have invited me down for camp. I went to the Mississippi State Junior Day. Holy Cross has sent me some stuff.

"UAB came to visit me at the school yesterday. They told me they wanted me to come to their one day camp. I plan on going to camp at Troy, UAB, Mississippi State and a camp in Georgia."

Motte, 5-foot-11, 182-pounds, has the great ability to create separation and catch the football. He had 55 receptions for 1,003 yards and 14 touchdowns last season.

"I would say my hands and my route running are my biggest strengths," he said. "I would say those are my best qualities. I am not the fastest person on the field. I get open though."

Motte was a standout performer at the South Showcase Combine. He wasn’t the tallest or the fastest receiver on the field, but he was the best. He won the Offensive Skills MVP award.

"It was a fun camp," Motte said. "I loved going one-on-one with the DBs. It’s my favorite thing to do. I was excited about the MVP. There were some good receivers out there. I was excited."

Motte has high interest in Mississippi State and Troy. He is also interested in North Alabama and Samford.
