It's a very good year for quarterbacks across the country with players such as Cooper Bateman, Cody Thomas and Kohl Stewart. There is one player in the Southeast that is being recruited as heavily as any quarterback in the country and his name is Ryan Buchanan.
Ryan Buchanan is a 6'4 200-pound quarterback from Jackson (MS) Jackson Preparatory High School. Some say because of strong ties to Mississippi they will be the team to beat in the end.
"My sister is a freshman there and my mom went there."
In addition to Mississippi a host of other schools are in the running for Buchanan and his services such as Arkansas, Auburn, Mississippi State, Southern Miss, Syracuse and Tennessee. He has camped at Alabama, Mississippi, Mississippi State and Southern Miss. Offensive coordinator Brent Pease has a close eye on Buchanan and should see him up close and in person sometime next week.
"I think coach [Aubrey] Hill is coming tomorrow. Coach Pease told me he'll be here next week as soon as he can. I am fired up about it I can't wait for a Gator to finally watch me throw."
Ryan Buchanan A Wanted Man.
