. "They came to practice on Monday or Tuesday. I found out about the offer through my coach.
"I thought it was a pretty good offer. It's pretty close to home. The defensive coordinator is the one who is recruiting me. I am going to go over there for a visit this summer."
Chunn has collected a couple of other in-state offers with more schools showing interest.
A&M and Jacksonville State have offered me," he said. "UNA came to the school. Mississippi State
came by the school today. Samford visited. Auburn
didn't come to practice because I am not practicing because I am in track. They are going to come next week.
"Auburn has visited. They just haven't seen me practice yet. They are coming next week. Auburn has always been my dream school."
The 6-foot, 210-pound prospect was a standout performer at the South Showcase Combine in Oxford a couple of weeks ago.
"I liked it," Chunn said. "It was the best combine I have been to this spring. I went to one in Atlanta. I thought the one you put on was good. I had fun competing."
Chunn rushed for 1,490 yards and scored 20 touchdowns last season.
"I am trying to get our linemen to work with each other," Chunn said. "I am trying to work on my speed and balance. I am trying to get my speed down to a 4.5."
