Committed players will lead the way as Ohio State commits Cameron Burrows and Jayme Thompson, Iowa pledge Delano Hill, Penn State commit Ross Douglas, Michigan verbal Jourdan Lewis and Central Michigan commit Joshua Cox are all expected to attend.
Another group of cover men all holding offers will compete to show they deserve more than what they have, notably DeJaun Rogers, Desmond King, Reon Dawson, Demetrius Stinson, Tony Harper, Mycial Allen, Billy Aaron, and Isaiah Gourdine.
Of the underclassmen, the top prospects are Columbus Bishop Hartley's 2014 corner Alonzo Saxton, who has a couple offers and lot of college interest and Central Valley (Pa.) 2015 standout Jordan Whitehead.
Those defensive backs will be given a tough challenge from a good group of receivers. From the 2013 class, Trey Kilgore, Deniro Laster, Chase Dutra, Trei Thomas, and Csont'e York all have Division-1 offers.
The 2014 class will be a very talented group lead by Grand Rapids (Mich.) Christian's Drake Harris, a BCS prospect in football and a high D1 basketball prospect. It will be good to see him on the gridiron again after his hoops season. Detroit Cass Tech's Damon Webb and Springfield (Ohio) speedster Thaddeus Snodgrass are two other young guys to watch out for.
The tight ends will feature Notre Dame commit Jacob Matuska, who may play defense in college, but is listed as a tight end here, along with Nebraska pledge Keith Towbridge, Illinois verbal Christian DiLauro and Michigan commit Khalid Hill. Cincinnati Moeller's Evan Jansen is another 2013 prospect with offers.
Ohio State commit Billy Price is the highest ranked prospect slated to be on the defensive line. Michigan commit Taco Charlton will look to show that his impressive performance at the Los Angeles NIKE Camp was not a fluke. Newly committed Jarrod Clements, who picked Illinois, will look to show that his equally strong performance at the Elite Big Man Camp was also a not a one time occurance.
Four-star defensive tackle Darius Latham from Indianapolis North Central has a strong offer list and is a guy we will be watching closely. Detroit Cass Tech's Kenton Gibbs always does well at these events. Other defensive linemen with offers will be John Stepec from Mentor Lake Catholic, Warren Central's Anthony Winbush, and Trey Williams-Brown from Trotwood-Madison.
A few rising seniors who are worthy of offer consideration include Jalen Dandridge from Detroit Crockett and Guerin Catholic (Ind.) product Bama Powell.
One young guy to watch out for is Detroit Cass Tech's Joshua Alabi, a class of 2015 prospect already standing 6'5, 250-lbs.
Michigan commit David Dawson and Detroit Cass Tech teammate Dennis Finley, who holds several offers, will look to fend off that strong group of defensive linemen. Dwayne Brown, Skyler Lacy, Steve Mathie, Kyle Meadows, Vinnie Palazeti, Lovell Peterson, and Joey Bloomfield all hold Division-1 offers.
Brown was excellent when we saw him at the Best of the Midwest Combine in Indianapolis and another good performance could ignite a recruitment that is threatening to heat up a little bit. Meadows is an athletic kid with a nice frame and an impressive offer list. Bloomfield will look to show that the weight he's lost this offseason has him ready for dominance this fall.
Out of the underclassmen, we're excited to see KaJohn Armstrong of Detroit Loyola again, as the 6'5, 270-lb rising junior has a lot of potential. Two other youngsters we'll have an eye on are Derek Brown of Yale (Mich.) and Kirk Barron of Mishawaka Marian (Ind.).
Ohio State commit Alex Anzalone, Michigan commit Michael McCray and Michigan State pledge Jon Reschke are two of the standouts in this group along with Warren Central four-star Tim Kimbrough. Glenville's Christopher Worley holds an Ohio State offer along with several others. We'll be interested to see if he looks more like a linebacker or safety.
Two Ohio kids with offers will be there in Columbus Whetstone's Dezwan Polk and Licking Heights' Ronnie Dawson. The 2014 group will be strong, with Cass Tech's trio of Deon Drake, William White and Gary Hosey attending.
Running BacksScout will have full coverage from the event including video, photos, interviews, reports and more.
Ohio State commit Jalin Marshall will play quarterback, but will likely try running back and wide receiver as well. Cincinnati Moeller's Keith Watkins is a kid we're looking forward to seeing. He has an extensive offer list and the three-star prospect will be looking to show he deserves higher. William Houston and LeShun Daniels are two other class of 2013 prospects with interest and offers. In the 2014 class, the two to watch are Farmington Hills Harrison (Mich.) prospect Lorenzo Collins and Mineral Ridge (Ohio) standout Devine Redding.
