Baylor offers 2014 Kansas DL

As a prospect, Peyton Newell is absolutely scorching right now. With offers from TCU and Iowa in the bag, Monday a third program - the second from the Big 12 - stepped forward with an offer of their own, when the Baylor Bears pulled the trigger.

Scout.com confirmed the Baylor offer with Peyton Newell's father, Frank, Monday night.

A 6-foot-3, 270-pound DT/DE prospect, Newell recently took home MVP honors from the National Underclassmen Combine's Kansas City regional event.

He also holds offers from TCU and Iowa, with more sure to follow in the not so distant future.
