Kenny Lacy is one of the region’s top linemen and has scholarship offers from programs all over the country. He cut his sizeable list down to 15 over the weekend, Lacy’s top 15, and has now set his first four official visits.
“I’m going to Arkansas (Sept. 14), Nebraska (Sept. 28), Oklahoma State (Nov. 9) and Oklahoma (Nov. 23),” Lacy said. “For my last official visit, I’m looking at Washington, Kansas State, South Carolina and Vanderbilt.
“Those four visits aren’t my top four schools or anything, I just know I want to do official visits to those schools and then do unofficial visits to the other schools because I can get there easier location wise. This summer, I’m going to visit Cal and UCLA and I’ve already been to Arizona, Arizona State and USC.”
Lacy said he also plans to camp with USC in hopes of landing a scholarship offer and doesn’t have a timetable for when he’ll make his college choice.
“It could be Signing Day or a little before,” Lacy said. “It will for sure be after I take all my official visits but that’s all I know right now. I don’t have a set time or anything, just when I find the right school, that’s when I’ll decide.”
Lacy worked out at the SoCal NIKE Camp last month and will head to Oakland this Sunday to participate in another NIKE Camp.
