Marqavius King talks recruiting

Marqavius King, athlete from Abbeville, Ala., had an impressive junior campaign. College coaches took notice and visiting this spring. The first scholarship offer came this week.

King talked of the school on campus on Monday and collected his first offer.
"I was offered today by Georgia State," he said. "It is my first offer. It felt great getting the first offer. It just makes me want to work harder and get at it."
The 5-foot-11, 165-pound athlete plans to attend several camps including Alabama State, Arkansas State,
, Georgia State,
King was a star at the South Showcase combine in Dothan earlier this spring.
"It was great," he said. "I loved the competition and getting to meet new athletes. I think that was the best choice I made in my recruiting process."
King understands schools are recruiting him as an athlete. He was a standout quarterback last season. He was 125-of-202 passing afor 1,980 yards with 25 touchdowns. He added 122 carries for 894 yards with seven touchdowns.
