Former Cleveland Glenville four-star defensive back Latwan Anderson has enrolled at East Mississippi Community College, where he will try to establish his academic eligibility and go through the recruiting process once again.
Anderson, 5-foot-10, 185-pounds, verbally committed to West Virginia at the United States Army All-American Bowl in January of 2010, but never signed with the Mountaineers.
He enrolled at Miami instead on a track scholarship in the fall of 2010, intending to walk onto the football team, but left the school in December without playing a down.
"I am going to East Mississippi Community College," Anderson announced Saturday evening at the Raw Talent Sports camp. "I'm going to be rooming with (former Akron Buchtel star wide receiver) Corey Smith. I know how well he is doing there, and I will be going there next week to get my career back on track."
EVALUATION: Anderson breezed through the Raw Talent Sports camp, and was easily the most impressive athlete in action. The blazing speed and explosive change of direction are still staples of his skill set, and he also exhibited the ability to help coach the younger players through the various drills. If he can get his academic record in order, there is no doubt he has the talent to play at the Division-I level.
