Chandler (Ariz.) Hamilton running back Frankie Felix recently received his first scholarship offer.
“Yeah, it’s pretty cool; I’m intrigued,” he says of the offer from North Dakota.
“They’re in the Big Sky, they win a lot and they won their championship last year. They’re really interested, they like the way I play and want to get to know me more.”
During football season, Felix plans to make a trip to North Dakota to check things out for himself.
The 5-foot-10, 180-pound athlete is hearing from a couple other schools as well.
“Recruiting is going well, it’s kind of slow right now, but I have a feeling it will pick back up soon,” he says. “Montana and Colorado State at Pueblo are showing interest, and they’re both good. It’s going to be cold, but it’s all good, I don’t mind.”
Felix is simply looking for two things.
“A good education and a good program,” he states. “That’s all that matters.”
