Myers Prepares for Camp Rounds
Gary Myers profile "I feel like I had a good spring," said Myers. "I had a good spring game, but I got a little tired. "I am going to be working hard on my conditioning this summer to get ready for the season." The Orange and Blue nation will kickoff the Todd Mangum era this fall and Myers is excited about what he has seen so far from his new head coach. "I like Coach Mangum," said Myers. "He is a good defensive coach and he knows what to call. "I feel like we are going to have a really good season this year." Several college programs stopped through Waynesboro, Mississippi during the spring to get a look at Myers in action as he team worked on installing a new system. "Mississippi State, Louisiana-Lafayette, Southern Miss, Louisiana Tech and UL-Monroe have all shown me a lot of interest," said Myers. "Mississippi State is probably recruiting me the hardest. "Coach Tony Hughes is recruiting me and they seem like they like me." Myers will make a return trip to Starkville in just over a week in hopes of taking things to the next level with the Bulldogs. "I have been up there before, but I am going up there for their camp next weekend," said Myers. "They haven't offered me yet, but they want to see how I do in camp. "I am supposed to go to Louisiana-Lafayette's camp, but they day they wanted me to come is the day I am taking the ACT. "I am planning on going up to UL-Monroe to see how it is up there some time too."
