Number 50 is a monster

There may not be a higher riser out west when it comes to recruiting stock than Scott Pagano. The 6-foot-4, 275-pound defensive lineman from Moanalua High School on the island of Oahu let Scout.com know that apparently there's one more college out there that likes what he's doing enough to offer - and that would make it an even 50 if you go by his count. And it's a monster.

"Florida offered," Pagano said via text Thursday morning.

When asked if this new offer means he'll be visiting Gainesville, Pagano said he would be checking them out. He starts a string of unofficial visits on the east coast and down south, starting July 14th with LSU and moving to Ole Miss, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and Clemson - finishing up on the 23rd.

The idea is that Pagano will have a list of five schools to work off of at the end of July. He already knows four schools that he will officially visit - Nebraska, Baylor, LSU and Clemson - but hasn't announced his fifth visit yet.

LSU is his current No. 1 school.

Ed. Note - Just 30 minutes after Scout received this information, Pagano texted to say he had also just been offered by Tennessee. No word yet on whether or not the Volunteers have been added to Pagano's July unofficial visit itinerary.
