Janarian Grant is a talented athlete out of Florida with a nice offer list and two schools currently…
Rutgers offers a couple more in Tampa area
According to their coach, Pasco High teammates David Emmanuel and Janarion Grant were recently offered by Rutgers. They join another teammate, defensive lineman Joey Ivie, as holding offers from the Scarlet Knights. Emmanuel, 5-foot-11 and 190 pounds, finished his junior season with over 1,300 yards rushing and 19 touchdowns. He's a talented inside runner with enough speed to make things happen on the perimeter. Rutgers was his first BCS offer. Grant, 5-foot-10 and 175 pounds, did a little bit of everything for the Pirates last season. His main role was as a pass-catcher and he caught 48 passes for nearly 1,000 yards and 14 touchdowns. He also added some on the ground and played on defense. Considered an athlete, he could end up in the slot, or even on defense, in college. USF, Rutgers, and Vanderbilt have now offered. Rutgers recruited the school a year ago when they looked at Trey Giles (UMass) early in the process and they returned by making an early offer to Ivie, who has become a national recruit. Those three players aren't the only ones in the Tampa area with offers, as the Scarlet Knights are also actively recruiting wide receiver Richard Benjamin (4-star; longshot) and cornerback Reggie Brown (who just received his second BCS offer from Boston College; very interested).
