Whiting. 6-foot-3, 175-pounds, used his size to his advantage in the one-on-one action against the defensive backs.
"I had a lot of fun out here today, and I think I had a really good day catching the football," Whiting stated. "I can't wait to see the tape of my performance, and it was fun competing against a lot of kids with big offers."
Although he currently holds no offers to date, Whiting is receiving recruiting interest.
"I visited Wisconsin a few weeks ago and loved it there," he explained. "They want me to come to camp and show them what I have, and I plan on doing that. I'm hearing from most of the Big Ten and I plan on camping at a lot of them. I'm also hearing from a few Ivy League schools, with Harvard showing the most interest."
As a junior, Whiting had three interceptions and 67 tackles from his free safety spot on defense. He primarily plays safety in high school, but projects as a wide receiver at the next level.
"Most of these coaches see me as a wide receiver, and that's where I prefer to play," he stressed. "This year, I'm going to have more of a role in our offense at wide receiver, and I'll have more film at that spot."
