Notre Dame picked up a big commitment this week in Isaac Rocheell and Scout breaks him down right…
Day Has Two Offers
The starting left tackle for 5A runner-up Mishawaka Penn, Jackson Day has turned the success both he and his team had last season into college interest and two scholarship offers from Eastern Michigan and Ball State. "It's really nice," he said of the offers. "I was really really worried about playing football at first, but now I see that it's going to happen." At 6'4, 280-lbs Day could stay at his current tackle spot, or he could play any other position on the offensive line. "They said with my height, weight and athletic abilities, I can potentially be recruited as a tackle, center and guard." Day has been to both schools who have offered, and likes what he has seen at both. "I've visited both Ball State and Eastern Michigan. First, I really liked the campus at Ball State. It was really nice. Everything was really central, so I liked that and the coaching staff was nice. I talked to all of them and they were really nice. I didn't get a chance to see Eastern's campus but their football facilities and their coaching staff was really nice as well." The month of June will be spent traveling from camp to camp hoping to add to the pair of offers. "This past Sunday I went to Eastern Michigan's camp. This Friday, I'm going to Ball State's camp and the next day, I'm going to Indiana's camp. I think I'm going to Bowling Green, Michigan State and Western Michigan's camp." Because Day is just beginning to hit the radar more, the possibility of offers on the horizon is still there, and thus, he's not in a hurry to make a commitment. "I think I'm going to make that decision into the season."
