Hub City Duo take in Starkville
Brandon Acker injured his foot back during spring practice, so he was not able to give his best effort today. "I feel like I did pretty good," said Acker. "My foot is getting better and I was able to do most everything, but I wasn't 100%. "I know I can do better. They invited us to come back next month for the Big Dawg camp and my foot should be 100% by then." Teammate Tony Bridges believes that he was able to provide a pretty good representation of his abilities during the day. "I feel like I had a good day," said Bridges. "We got to run the 40, do some drills and have the one-on-ones. "I did okay, but I am looking forward to going back up there next month for the next camp." Bridges reports that he was able to spend some time getting to know the Bulldog coaches. "Coach Tony Hughes is recruiting me and he told me that he was glad that I came," said Bridges. "I got to talk to just about all of the coaches and they were all cool." The Hattiesburg High tandem plans to camp at Memphis this weekend and take in a day at Southern Miss in the coming weeks before returning to Mississippi State for the Big Dawg camp.
