Scout.com live evaluation verse N' West Rankin: Last season Conner switched back and forth from offense to defense but this upcoming season look for him to focus mainly on defense. This has allowed Tony to concentrate on his defensive assignments, and he was back to being lights out at the South Panola jamboree.

The first play of the game Conner intercepted a pass and brought it back 55 yards for a score. On the next defensive series he almost took the handoff from the quarterback and slammed the running back for a 7 yard-loss. Antonio has moved from free safety to strong safety, or more like a rover linebacker, and that has allowed him to be more aggressive in the running game while also putting more heat on the quarterback. We look for the 5-Star safety to have his best year yet for the "U".
