Caleb Alves (6'3/185) of Palm Bay High School in Florida was a standout at
the Big Man on Campus (BMOC) 7on7 held at IMG Madden Football Academy on
Saturday. He played wide receiver and safety and was a tough matchup because of
his size and leaping ability.
He has picked up several offers already and could be in line for more during the summer camp season.
"I've gotten offers from UMass, Bowling Green, FIU, South Alabama, Memphis, and Bethune-Cookman," said Alves. "I'm camping at Florida and Florida State this summer. I just got back from Memphis. We did 1on1s up there, and I met all the coaches up there. I'm going to try and camp every where in the state. I know I'm going to Miami on the 23rd (June)."
"Florida is my favorite team. I'm going to Friday Night Lights later this summer."
"I had over 1,000 yards receiving as a sophomore," said Alves. "I'm not sure my stats from my junior season. I play basketball as well and average about 18 points per game. I'd like to try play both sports in college. Football is my favorite sport though."
Alves currently projects as a full qualifier with a 2.9 GPA and an 18 on the ACT. He has several offers already, but it won't be surprising to see him add to his total as he makes the camp circuit this summer.
