Detroit (MI) Cass Tech three-star defensive back DeJuan Rogers was hoping to add some more offers after the spring evaluation period, but he is ready to move on with his recruitment.
Holding offers from seven schools, the physical DB is down to a trio of finalists - Toledo, Northern Illinois and Syracuse.
The 6-foot-1, 175-pounder expanded on each finalist:
Toledo: “The coaches showed a lot of love and interest; every time I went down there I enjoyed it. I really like the staff. Coach (Matt) Campbell, the head coach, was rally involved in my recruitment.”
Northern Illinois: “(Defensive backs) Coach (Richard) McNutt, when I first saw him, he said he was going to come back and get me. He kept his word and they came back and offered me. I wasn’t able to see the campus, though.”
Syracuse: “That was my first BCS offer, my only BCS offer. They have a great staff, and a lot of guys go to the NFL from there. They are going to the ACC, too, and that’s a big reason why I like them.”
Rogers will announce his decision sometime in the afternoon. Stay on FOX Sports Next and Scout.com for the latest following the decision.
