Cocoa Beach, Fla., WR Matt Riley just started his camp tour. He's already received his first…
Two Stepping Up To The Plate
"I ran the best 40 out of about three to four hundred campers at Illinois," Matt Riley added. "I ran a 4.46. Illinois told me they are going to go over me this week and let me know something."
The Big 10 school told Ryan what their goals were at the wide receiver position this recruiting season.
"They said they wanted to sign three receivers, and they have not taken one yet. I know they have a really good quarterback committed to them in Aaron Bailey. He could have gone anywhere in the country he wanted to go and he went there. I have looked up some of the receivers they have offered, and I think I am better than them. That's just my opinion but I watched a lot of film on them."
Minnesota is also increasing their interest.
"I am getting real strong interest from Minnesota now. I just have to go up there and see them in person."
That visit should take place in the very near future.
"I talked to my mom about it yesterday, and we are either going up there next weekend or the Monday and Tuesday after that. It will be within the next week and half."
An SEC program has begun to show interest too.
"Auburn invited me to their camp. I spoke with coach Thigpen today. He is the one that recruits my area. Coach Thigpen told me they also want to take three receivers and they had one committed right now. He's really good. They have two more spots open, and they want to see me at their camp. To even get interest in them is an honor because they are one of the top programs in the country."
