Jondarius Gardner (Pensacola, Fla./Pine Forest) is a defensive tackle prospect from the Florida panhandle with a couple of scholarship offers. He’s also generating a lot of interest from schools in the region.
“Louisiana-Lafayette and Florida Atlantic offered me on the same day,” Gardner said. “FAU was first. It was a great feeling. I mean very, very good.
“Schools like Tulane, Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, Southern Miss, Georgia Southern, and Auburn are all recruiting me.”
Gardner, 6-foot-4 and 285-pounds, recently camped at Tulane and he said he had a wonderful experience on the Bayou.
“Last week I camped at Tulane,” Gardner said. “It was a good experience for me. I like New Orleans. I like the campus. They have not offered but I know I will hear from them.
“I know I am supposed to go visit Tennessee and Louisiana-Lafayette this summer for sure. I may visit a few others.”
Gardner plays on both sides of the ball. He also starts at left guard and has been a varsity starter since the end of his 9th grade season.
