Devon Rogers has been on the recruiting radar of college coaches since breaking in as a freshman starter two years ago at Hilliard (OH) Darby.
Rogers, 5-foot-10, 200-pounds, was at Ohio State's two-day position camp for underclassmen last week and the 2014 prospect did well.
"I had a lot of fun at Ohio State's camp, and I liked working in the heat," Rogers stated. "I spoke to Coach (Everett) Withers and he told me to keep working, and that they know all about me."
"Last year as a sophomore, I had a good year, and it was a change for me playing safety," he added. "I worked out as a safety here, and I showed I can play the football in the air. I can cover receivers, and I like playing defense better."
Even though he holds no offers to date, Rogers is attracting college recruiting attention.
"Illinois wants me to come back for a game this year," he explained. "Indiana wants me to stay in touch with them, because I did real well at their camp. Tennessee and Nebraska have also been in touch. I might be going to Cincinnati's next camp, and they've been in touch also."
