One of the state's top 2015 prospects 6'4 195 pound Byrnes wide receiver Tavin Richardson just came…
2015 Intro: Tavin Richardson
It is rare to see a freshman start for one of the top high school football teams in the country. However, that is what Tavin Richardson did last fall. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound wide receiver helped Byrnes win a state championship last season and is already starting to attract interest from some of the top college programs in the country. "I have gotten mail Clemson, South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia Tech, North Carolina, Miami, and Florida State," he said "I am waiting on my first offer, but I think it could come from Virginia Tech." Richardson has already been to a few camps this summer and has a few more scheduled. "I went to camp at Clemson and South Carolina, both of them went real well," said Richardson. "I am going to camps at Virginia Tech and Georgia in July." The 2015 playmaker has big goals for his sophomore season. "As a team, I want us to play better than we did last year and win another state championship," Richardson said. "Individually, I just want to continue make progress and have a better season than last year." Last season, Richardson had 26 catches for 430 yards and four touchdowns. He was a Clemson fan growing up.
