According to multiple sources, Fox Sports Next has been informed that Houston (TX) Alief Taylor defensive end Ogbonnia Okoronwu has made a commitment to Oklahoma State. One of the members on the coaching staff at Taylor said that OSU “was the offer he was waiting for.” And rightfully so, earlier tonight, he took it.
Many of the programs that had offered the 6-foot-3, 220-pound Okoronwu wanted to possibly convert him into a linebacker, but a source at Taylor said that the Cowboy coaching staff will allow him to stay at the rush end position.
San Diego, Washington State, Texas Tech, SMU and Wake Forest were a few of his other offers. Last season, Okoronwu recorded 50 tackles (13 for loss) and 11 sacks.
