Phoenix (Ariz.) Mountain Pointe offensive tackle Kenny Lacy has narrowed his list of schools to eight.

Arizona, Arizona State, Arkansas, California, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and UCLA remain in the running for the 6-foot-5, 270-pound athlete.

Lacy tells FOXSportsNEXT.com what stands out to him about each of the schools and why they made the cut.

Arizona and Arizona State: "I put both of my in-state schools in there, because I do live here and I'm going to give them a shot. I want to see how they do this year."

Arkansas: "The tradition of winning they have there and the good players they have there; I feel like it would be a good fit for me."

Cal: "I like their coaches a lot, a great education is available there, and it's right there in California."

Nebraska: "My cousin (Marcel Jones) actually just got drafted out of Nebraska and went to the Saints. It's a big time program, they have good linemen up there and it's another good academic school."

Oklahoma: "I just like the tradition they have up there mostly. Also, I like the offensive lineman coach up there and they have Coach Stoops now from U of A."

Oklahoma State: "They win games. I like the fast paced offense they run with, they have some nice facilities up there and some good academic support for the athletes."

UCLA: "I've always liked UCLA; it's a nice place to be. I like the coaches and I think it would be a good fit."

Lacy currently has official visits set to Arkansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State.

He intends on taking the fifth trip and plans to decide on the destination, between Cal and UCLA.
