Michigan running back Justin Hoskins has given Notre Dame his verbal commitment. After watching film of Hoskins and speaking with his high school coach, this looks to be a good fit for both Hoskins and the Fighting Irish.

Justin Hoskins, a 5-foot-10, 185-pound, running back from Grand Rapids (MI) Creston looked great on film and he performed very well at the (Ann Arbor) Nike Camp.

Hoskins, who has been timed at 4.34 in the 40-yard dash has received scholarship offers from Notre Dame, Nebraska, Iowa, Colorado, Michigan State and Pittsburgh.

Justin recently gave Tyrone Willingham and the Fighting Irish his verbal commitment and according to Creston head coach Sparky McEwen, Hoskin’s game is taylor made for the West Coast offense.

“Justin is a Marshall Faulk type back,” said McEwen. “What’s great about Justin is that he played wide receiver for us for a couple of years because we had a D-1 running back in front of him.

“Justin learned how to catch the ball first and he became a great running back. At Notre Dame, Coach Willingham can thrown the ball to him on a swing pass or put him in the slot and run underneath routes with him. Justin is an extra weapon in the West Coast offense.”

Justin Hoskins is a phenom with pure athleticism. He ran a 4.4 at the (Ann Arbor) Nike Camp and on film he shows the ability to run inside and outside. He has the extra gear needed for separation and he’s a threat every time he touches the ball.

Hoskins could also play cornerback or safety if needed. He won’t get beat on the corner and he hits like a safety.
