Lincoln Way North's Julian Hylton is a 6'1, 180-lb prospect who had a good sophomore year and a nice showing at the Junior Rank camp in Chicago on Saturday.
"Last year I played running back," he said. "This year, they want squeeze me in at receiver more, but last year I rushed for over 1,000 yards and had 19 touchdowns."
With his build and skill set, particularly his ability to catch the ball, Hylton may be looked at as a receiver as a college prospect as well, and he would definitely be fine with that switch.
"I'll play any position that they put me in. I kind of like receiver right now beause they're starting to throw me into that."
Hylton did not do any college camps this summer, but has been receiving mail from schools, and plans to hit some camps next year.
"I've been getting little questionnaires from Illinois, Iowa, Northwestern, mostly Big Ten schools."
As the process moves along, Hylton hopes to continue to hear from those schools, but wouldn't mind gaining interest from some southern schools as well.
"I've always liked Big Ten schools. They're close to home, or I'd like to hear from schools somewhere in Florida; Miami or something like that."
