A prospect of note in the class of 2014, Spencer recently toured the Midwest on the Raw Talent bus tour. He also picked up his first offer.
"Getting that offer from Bowling Green made me feel great," Spencer stated. "Bowling Green is a great school and I'm very comfortable there. The coaches are great and they definitely know what they're talking about."
"I went to their camp on our bus tour and did great," he added. "They offered me a scholarship and said they will be watching me the next two years. I knew I had to show them I could play at that level."
Bowling Green isn't the only school showing interest, as several bigger programs have been in touch.
"Iowa, Michigan, Ohio State and West Virginia have all been contacting me, and I like all four of them," he noted. "Toledo, Akron and Eastern Michigan all say they are close to offering me, so we will see if they do. My dream school would be Oregon, and I'd love to hear from them."
He impressed last season as a sophomore, and is looking for better things this season as a junior.
"My strength is the ability to get open and catch the football," he explained. "I'm trying to improve my speed and get under a 4.5 forty-yard time. My moves are good and my hands are very good."
