Josh Savage holds offers from Eastern Washington and South Dakota State now, but he is well on his way towards plenty more next fall.
The six-foot-one, 180-pound receiver from Damien High School in La Verne, (Calif.) feels confident that his capabilities on the field will certainly garner him more attention during his senior year.
“During the season I’m going to step it up and do big things,” said Savage. “So hopefully after my senior year I can get more offers.”
As a junior, Savage had 31 catches for 723 yards and seven touchdowns, but is working hard this summer to take his game to the next level.
“As an individual I’ve been working on quickness, getting off the ball, and route running, anything I can do to get better.”
In terms of his recruiting, Savage says he is looking for a school that will use his strengths as a receiver.
“The school standing out is Eastern Washington,” he said. “They run a spread offense and they pass a lot of the time, so that’s a good offense for me.”
Savage also says he is open to anywhere in the country but would ideally like to stay in state, particularly one school only an hour west of La Verne.
“I’m looking at UCLA. That’s the team I grew up watching so to go there and play there is one of my dreams.”
