Jordan Lasley has a motto he uses as motivation each time he steps on the field.
“Just make plays,” Said Lasley.
The six-foot-two receiver from Carson, (Calif.) transferred to Serra to play with the best in the CIF, and although he is still young with plenty of time left in the recruiting process, Lasley is hard at work to hone his skills to prepare for CIF play.
“I’ve been to the UCLA camp and I’ve been on my own little private workouts getting my footwork and hands right and getting stronger. It’s a tougher league once you get to the CIF.”
“My biggest strength is definitely my speed. I think I can run by anyone, that’s what I think every time I come to the line.”
Lasley says there are no offers on the board as of now, but he is receiving plenty of interest from some west coast schools.
“UCLA, Oregon, Arizona State and Utah,” he said. “I just want to go anywhere I fit at.”
For Lasley, the team comes first, but he also has some individual goals in mind for his junior season.
“I’m trying to get ten touchdowns and sixty catches to get a good college look, and just working on my craft and helping the team win.”
Lasley is a part of a deep group of 2014 prospects at Serra which includes Adoree Jackson, Jalen Greene and Dwight Williams.
