Defensive line prospect Khari Alexander (Stone Mountain, Ga./Stephenson) is headed west to the state of Mississippi. He has committed to play at Southern Miss.

"I committed to Southern Miss yesterday," Alexander said. "It came down to the coaches. They let me know it's the right fit for me. They always contend for conference championships and they play in bowl games. I believe in what I believe in."

Alexander is a defensive end that stands 6-foot-2 and 240-pounds.

"I can pass rush and get after the ball," Alexander said. "I react to the ball quickly and make a play."

Alexander said he committed to USM over teams like Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Buffalo, Middle Tennessee State and others.

"I had a great spring and that's when schools started noticing me," Alexander said.
