Bo Baldwin was on his way to a breakout season, but an injury caused him to miss the majority of his sophomore year. However, college coaches saw his potential after just a few games last season.
“During the spring, I am pretty sure every school in the SEC came by my school,” said Bo Baldwin.
Since that time, Baldwin’s recruitment has been picking up steam.
“LSU told me that they were going to offer,” he said. “I am also hearing from Georgia, South Carolina, N.C. State, North Carolina, and Tennessee.”
“I don’t have an order, but my top three would be LSU, Georgia, and South Carolina.”
So far this summer, Baldwin has been to several camps.
“I have been to LSU, North Carolina, N.C. State, South Carolina, and Georgia,” said the 6-foot-5, 210-pound signal-caller. “In about two weeks, I am going to Alabama and Tennessee.”
So far, a few camps have made an impression on Baldwin.
“I liked Georgia the most because I like their campus,” he said.
“At LSU, I got a chance to build a good relationship with (assistant) coach (Steve) Kragthorpe. I got to talk to him a good bit and we got to hang out.”
Baldwin knows his strengths, but also knows the areas where he must improve.
“My biggest strength is my arm strength,” he said. “I broke my collarbone last year, but I have been rehabbing, and it is stronger than it has ever been. In the offseason, I have definitely been working to improve my footwork. I have also been working on improve my 40 time.”
This fall, the South Aiken prospect already has some visits in mind for the fall.
“We are trying to work out the Alabama-LSU game, at LSU,” he said. “I will be going to the Georgia-(South) Carolina game and the N.C. State- North Carolina game.”
Now healthy, Baldwin is focused on a big junior season.
“I want to win the region and make it is as far in the playoffs as we can,” he said. “I cannot wait.”
In three games last season, Baldwin threw for 737 passing yards and eight touchdowns. He also ran 243 yards and 2 touchdowns.
