has a couple important camp dates coming up and he talked about them.
"I'm going to Florida State next week for their camp and then Arkansas next weekend. I'm getting a tour Friday and then camp on Saturday at Arkansas."
Bland, 6-foot-3 and 275 pounds, talked more about each of those two schools.
"I've been talking to Arkansas' offensive line coach every Tuesday night since way back in February. I'm hoping to get an offer. I love them. Their stadium is 90,000 fans. The weight room is huge. The coaching staff is great. I'm looking forward to meeting Coach Smith for the first time."
"Florida State, they're my second school, them and Arkansas. I'm gonna go up there. I've been talking to them. Now I wanna show Coach Trickett what I got. I can't wait to get up there as well. I've always been a fan since I was a little kid. Growing up, I always watched them. I've already been there three or four times and I love it there."
Bland is hoping to land an offer from one of those two schools.
"I'm trying to commit before the season. It'll probably come down to Arkansas, Florida State, and Wake Forest."
Bland talked more about Wake Forest and his interest in them.
"Wake, I got injured so they still need to see me. I visited them in April and it was good. Their campus, it's not huge, it's small and I really like how everything is together. The campus is beautiful."
Bland, who has offers from schools like Cincinnati, Purdue, Georgia State, and Navy, talked about what he'll be looking for in a school.
"I wanna make sure I get along with the coaches, that I feel at home, that I love the place, and a weightroom that I really like."
As a Prospect: Bland is yet another in the long line of talented offensive line prospects to come out of St. Thomas Aquinas. He plays mostly guard now and could play guard or center in college. He knows the game very well. He plays with a high motor and really gets after it. He can pull, get to the second level, and provide a lot of athleticism to the position.
